“Patriotism”
Black reign deluged down,
streets with spores
that reach home town.
Babylon or Baltimore
It matters not,
dead is dead, forever’s lot.
Youth and grace, nevermore
see these days unfold.
Emboldened patriotism and war.
Co joined, these cancerous twins
That cancels out lives.
Can, or does anyone really win?
Ask the Mothers of either side
And you will hear,
Simply, my child has died.
I ask no questions, the answers hurt,
When children become
dried flowers, buried in dirt.
Black reign deluged down,
streets with spores
that reach home town.
